in phryne’s experience, magicians were always a tricky bunch –––– deadly charming, skilled at making escapes, and they almost always had something up their sleeves. pun intended. it brings a smile to her lips, though it would no doubt elicit a glare from jack were he with her. leather gloves are pulled off and put away, so as to be able to brush any stray hairs back into her bob. couldn’t introduce herself to a ( presumably )murderous magician if she wasn’t ready to duplicate his level of charm, after all.
